Details

Moughal Prince Suja ud dawla came to jhalokathi to oust the Arakanese and Portuguese pirates from this region. He came along with a huge army and built a fort near the bank of the river Sugandha. In 1684 he built this mosque. The mosque bears the legacy of Moughal architecture. This single dommed mosque is still known as “ Shah Suza Mosque”.
