Everyone's favorite cool rug industry: It has been passed down from generation to generation for approximately two and a half to three hundred years. 
At one time the spread of this ship in some areas of Rajapur Upazila under Jhalkathi city and Jhalkathi district. 
It was not only in Jhalakathi that it had a reputation. Jibanananda's traditional Rupasi Bengal was born to many wise men. 
The main furniture for decorating their dream home is the cool table. A beautiful tidy bedroom removes the tiredness of the day, a comfortable bed brings blissful sleep.
 Price of cooling mat:
 
Price of a 5ft x 7ft cool mat: Rs 700 to Rs 1,600.
 Price of a 5ft x 4.5ft cool mat: 500 to 600 Tk.
 Price of a 5ft x 6ft cool mat: 700 to 600 Tk.
 Weaving Industry: This industry was famous in various areas of Jhalkathi district and Rajapur upazila under this district for approximately one and a half to two hundred years. 
The weaving industry of Jhalkathi district was famous in the whole country especially for towels. Yarn is the main material of this industry. 
Therefore, due to increase in the price of yarn and insufficient supply, the families involved in this ship are unable to meet the demand despite the demand for their products due to lack of capital.
Once upon a time there were about 350/400 weaving families in the entire area in the villages on the western side of the flowing Basanda river near Jhalkathi town.
 At present, except for a few houses, almost everyone has been forced to go to other professions.
 Almost the same problem of the weaving families of Angaria including Algi, Kaivarttakhali of Rajapur. 
Just 10 to 15 years ago, the women of these families used to make velvet sarees, hajar booti sarees, jhapasaris, towels, lungis, mosquito nets and even chadars.
 
Betel nut: It is known that betel cultivation has been going on for a long time in these areas of Rajapur upazila. Betel cultivation has a history of approximately one to one and a half hundred years. Pan means tambul. About which is written in the only literature of the Madhya Yuga in the poem named Sri Krishna Kirtan. Tambul (drinking) is mentioned in the Tambul section of this poem. Shri Krishna was impressed by Radha's form and sent paan to Radha through Braai. From this it is proved that the bridge of love between Pan women and men has been bonded throughout the ages. Even today in rural Bengal the only means of entertaining a guest is a chile. Not only that, house to house betel leaf decoration competition is held in Bengal. The feeling of love is expressed by a cup of tea.
 
Pottery Industry of Village Bengal: We know that low capital and small scale industry is a cottage industry which can be prepared sitting in the cottage. The economic problems of the people of rural Bengal are related to this cottage industry. Once upon a time Jhalakathi district was famous for its pottery but nowadays the pottery has disappeared due to the large production and use of aluminum, china clay, melamine and especially silver cooking pots. t is said that this pottery industry has been going on for about two to two and a half hundred years. It is known that there were days in the past when the people of the village used this clay for daily use such as hari kara, sara, basan malsa etc. But today almost everything is a new form in the changing world. It has come back to people in a new way. Today, not only the villages of Bengal but also the educated society of the cities use earthenware. But it is strange. Now in keeping with the change in people's taste, they are trying to make pottery interesting with new forms. These items are earthen banks, colored horses, dolls of different colors, different types of birds, beautiful flower tubs with flower pots, boats, etc.
