From Jhalkathi anyone can go by bus, micro, auto, motorcycle.
‘Barochala’ is a traditional place. It was an open theater of central Kalibari temple Called Naat Mondir. It was established in the year 1781 by Sayttasharan land lord of Bhu-kailash. In the past it was the center of politics of Jhalokathi. Most of the gatherings, meeting were held in Barochala. Even the great leaders including Suvash Basu, Shere-e-Bangla A.K. Fazlul Haque and Monoroma Basu Mashima who would run movement against the British rule also visit here(Barochola) through meetings. This `Barochala’ witnessed the movement of1952, 1962, 1966, 1969 and 1971. Again this place bears the memories of different past festivals like Zatrapala(opera), Jarigan, Kobigan, Vojon, Kirton, Royani and so on.
