The forefathers of the landlords of Kirtipasha came to Bikrompur of Dhaka from Deccan in India during the reign of Sen Dynasty. Living there, Durgadas got married in Kirtipasha. Their descendant named Kalachand Sengupto and his adopted son Rudrokumar Sengupto and his nephew Kalikumar were progenitors of the Zamindar`s house of Kirtipasha. Kirtipasha was named after the name of Kirti Narayan. Ramjibon Sen was the founder of Zamindar`s house of Kirtipasha.
